Hey there!!

I've been hiding in Starbucks for the past month. (By the window, with chai, opposite Accessorize for all you Norwich people).

This is because I decided to do NaNoWriMo* this year (last year was depression-central and I didn't bother). The target is to write 50,000 words in a month.
*If you see me on a regular basis, you're probably sick of hearing the word. Sorry :oP

Well......

I DID IT!!!




I've now written about a third of my novel (it's about post-apocalptic mutated faeries.) It still has no title though- which is annoying me. If I don't chicken out again, I'll post a bit.

I've also been doing some interesting photoshoots, though I can't post many pictures as they are for my upcoming website. Here's an outtake though and I thought it looked suitably celebratory (and has no hint of what the shoot was actually for!)

Hmm. The trouble with not updating my journal as soon as I do things is that I forget all the details and things that I wanted to talk about. I know I had way more I wanted to say but I can't recall any of it right now ><. But anyhoo I was in Barcelona with Allan at the beginning of November, mostly for touristing purposes but also to shoot again with corset designer extraordinaire Bibian Blue. Alas the shoot had to be postponed as Bibian was ill but we still had an amazing time visiting La Sagrada Familia, Park Güell and other fantastic creations by architect Antoni Gaudí. I wasn't hugely familiar with his work previously but I became pretty much an instant fan. It was like a mixture of alice in wonderland, gingerbread houses and twisted botany, so unique.

I annoyed myself once again by not speaking any Spanish despite knowing enough for simple coversation, even something as simple as ordering coffee. I have this silly apprehension towards speaking foreign languages for fear of saying something wrong, even if I know what I'm saying is correct. Oh, speaking of the glorious nectar of the ground coffee bean, cappucino in Barcelona was so good, and an average of 1 euro a cup. I don't get how or why coffee in the UK is so much more expensive yet not as half as tasty.

We also went to visit Bibian's Barcelona store, where I absolutely was not expecting to see a giant poster of myself in the window! Naturally I had to take photos ;p



Bibian also gave me a copy of the Lacing Glamour book too which looks great.

Still going through my photos from Rome and Venice, will update probably tomorrow with 'tales from Miss Vex in Italy land' but here's a few of my holiday snaps from Barcelona if anyone wants to see! :)

That I am now teaching horseback riding. I have had two clients; which is pretty cool.

Finished my second installment of acting classes, and my second great role.

In tutoring, and finally catching up on that math-class which has been giving me so much trouble (since highschool, wherein I used to produce A's.)

Pushed away, yet another cute boy.

Transferring to a University. (FINALLY). But a crappy one at first, to gain enough credits to attend school of choice. (I am only a few away).

I am very vacant, very hollow, and very empty.

Although for the most part, I am "doing what I am supposed to be doing." For the most part anyway.

well this coming Sat is the VonGutenberg FetishBall up in San Francisco.
It used to be called the Marquis America or Marquis FetishBall up until a few months ago (July) when the first one happened.

I'm not performing at this one, unless stumbling around in latex is considered a performance of sorts. In any case, i'm currently in negotiation for the March fetish weekend. It should be settled by the end of next week.

Probably end up going with sokkmonkey and vienna_la_rouge and a buddy from local bar. Hopefully the sokk-ed one will drive, then I can drink. um.... not sure what i'm wearing. maybe another HW catsuit n hood outfit or else i'll go girly with the atsuko kudo or maybe even that white/red Syren thingy. I really do think i should do the heavy rubber though cuz everyone always dresses nice and pretty at these things and i can actually go all out with the crazy stuffs.

In other fun & fetishball-y news, I'm confirmed for April 17 at Wasteland in Amsterdam next year. Going to do a big show using gear from MedicalToys.com and maybe even mirja will do it with me...

I really like the job they did on this video from last April. The one from November is up and it's good too, but it just doesn't have me in it since I didn't go (yet i was going to be booked for it too grrrr). lol. Someone played this song the other night at the local bar and I couldn't stop thinking about the video. hah!

Quite some time ago, in 1995 I was living in San Francisco.
I was probably working the Mitchel Brothers at the time. (That's the place where the ladies 'dance' naked).
I was also hanging out in clubs n stuff, and meeting all sorts of interesting people (well, depending on what one considers to be interesting).
I also hung out at the local fetish clubs n dungeons and participated in things like the Society of Janus (BDSM) and other local kinky related groups. There was a local paper that featured all sorts of things concerning the sex industry in San Francisco and it was called the Spectator. I've been in and on this trade paper a few times. My friend Dara used to run it and that's how i ended up meeting David Aaron Clark and his friend John Nystrom.

A couple years later he wrangled me into participating in one of his projects with Jade Blue Eclipse and Suzi Suzuki.
It was called Asianatrix and i guess there have been a few versions of the movie released, though the one I was in was just us three rather than the large Asian porn-extravaganza I've seen online.
We shot all day and night at the Power Exchange and I remember how David was getting irritated at me for making faces at Jade while I was supposed to be all evil while ripping clothespins off of her coochie. We kept laughing and screwing up the scene. Then in another scene I was humping Suzi with a strap on and my legs kept getting really tired and my knees were getting sore too and he kept having to pan away from me because I couldn't keep a straight face while I was struggling to keep up the pace. LoL. All in all it we all had a bunch of fun.

After a few years we pretty much fell out of touch aside from an occasional email msg here or there.

Well I spoke to John yesterday. He said he was going through some stuff and actually found some old stills of the shoot.
David passed away a couple of days ago and now all his friends in Los Angeles have the unenviable job of trying to sort out his affairs.
No idea when services will be held.
